FAQs

🌿 BeNurtured Baby Massage – FAQs

1. What age can my baby start massage?

Our classes are designed for babies from 6 weeks to 12 months old. This is a lovely stage as babies are alert enough to enjoy the massage but not yet crawling away!

2. Do I need to bring anything?

Just bring your baby, a blanket for them to lie on, and a changing bag with the usual essentials (nappies, wipes, change of clothes). Massage oil is provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

3. What if my baby cries or needs feeding during class?

That’s absolutely fine! Our classes are completely baby-led. You can stop for cuddles, feeding, or a little walk around whenever needed. Every baby is different, and there’s no pressure to follow along perfectly.

4. What oil do you use?

We use natural, baby-safe oils (such as cold-pressed sunflower oil). You’re encouraged to patch-test before class, and of course you can bring your own oil if you’d prefer.

5. How long is each class?

Each class lasts around 1 hour. This includes time to settle in, learn the massage strokes, and a relaxed chat at the end with other parents.

6. What if I miss a class?

Life with a baby can be unpredictable! If you miss a session, you’ll still receive the handouts and guidance so you can practice at home.

7. Can both parents attend?

Yes! One booking covers your baby, so both parents/carers are welcome to come along if they’d like.

8. Do you offer private sessions?

Yes, I also offer one-to-one or small group sessions. This can be a great option if you’d prefer a quieter setting or want to bring a few friends.

9. Is baby massage safe?

Yes – when taught correctly, baby massage is safe and very beneficial. We always work gently, following your baby’s cues. I’m a qualified instructor with a background in holistic therapy and child development.

10. What are the benefits of baby massage?
